Hey guys! Are y’all ready for the three-day weekend ahead? I know I am, although I am a stay at home mom I can always use help when it comes to Parker. Today I bring you a few outfit ideas that don’t scream 4th of July but they are practical for everyday use.

After a not so quick trip to Target, I found a couple of cute 4th of July theme items in their Dollar Spot section, picked some up and based my outfits around the items. This is Parker’s second holiday and he doesn’t even have an outfit yet! (gotta get on that) last year he wore a cure little onesie. Our plan for the holiday is to attend Fulshear’s Freedom Fest. This is the first time we attend this event but it looks promising, I hope Parker enjoys the parade and firework show although I don’t know how that’s going play out since he’s asleep by 7:30 pm.7

Outfit #1 is very casual, summery and comfortable for a HOT Texas day. I would wear jeans because I am not comfortable with my legs and I try to hide them as much as possible. For the festival, jeans are not an option, I just have to get over my insecurity because I hate the feeling of  jeans sticking to sweaty legs. This shirt is very soft, breathable, flowy and comfortable, perfect to keep you as cool as possible. Sandals of a pair of white sneakers would work just fine with this outfit but I like the sandal option better.

Outfit #2 is a little more dressy if you are just spending time with family and friends having a traditional 4th of July. A cute navy romper paired with some camel colored wedges. The romper and wedges allow you to move comfortably and freely in the backyard.UntitledRomper|Wedges

I hope I’ve given you just a few ideas on what to wear this year. You don’t have to go out and buy the latest trends, work with what you have. What are your plans for the holiday? Whatever they are, please be safe and enjoy the day with your family and loved ones.
