Last Friday I was invited to the Via Colori blogger event hosted by Jillian from Cup of Charisma (if you guys don’t follow her you should!!) She is a fellow blogger and she is the most kindest, beautiful genuine person you will ever get to know.
The Via Colori is an event that takes place in downtown Houston and it features the amazing work from different artists. The artists get to paint all over the streets and show off their amazing talents. The most important part of this weekend festival is that all proceeds will go to The Center for Hearing and Speech which is a non-profit organization that helps children with hearing loss. It takes a group of pretty amazing people to do everything they can to help out a child in need. Just like Jillian, I have a family member who has disabilities. He is not able to communicate although he is capable of hearing and someday I hope to hear him speak. I really suggest you guys check this place out and attend the festival.
During the blogger happy hour, I was able to meet fellow bloggers who I’ve only chatted with online but never met in person and the friendships we’ve had just seemed more real. As a blogger, it is really good to find other fellow bloggers that support one another and will help you every step of the way with whatever they can. Kendra Scott was one of the sponsors for the event and as a treat for us bloggers, we got to receive complimentary manicures which was probably one of the things I was looking forward to the most #momlife.
I definitely enjoyed my time at the party and I would do it all over again next time the Via Colori festival comes back to Houston. Here are a few pictures I took during the event and a tutorial on the makeup I wore.
